About my story

I was born and grew up in a small town from Mendoza Argentina called Vista Flores, with a low population around 5.000 people. Surrounded for vineyards and fruit trees my childhood was around cherries, peaches, apples, plums, and off course grapes.

When I was 8 years old it was the first vintage in my life, my grandfather used to make wine at home to have wine for the family and friends during the year so 1991 he invited me to harvest with him and all the family and after for the crushing, I was like in Disney, so happy to help him and be with a lot of people around sharing my grandfather passion. Since 1991 I helped my grandfather each vintage to make his wine, also I was able to taste the wine but just a little bit!!!!

WHO I AM

In 2003 I decided to study oenology and achieve my dream to become a professional winemaker.
I worked for Clos de los Siete in 2005 and 2006.

In 2007 I had the opportunity to travel to France for my first vintage overseas, I worked for Chateau Clarke at Bordeaux, it was like a dream to be in on the best places to learn about wine.

In 2015 I took the decision with my wife to move to Australia.

From 2018 to 2021 at SARDI I joined a project called Terroir where we had to study 24 vineyards and wines from Barossa Valley to identify the differences of each subregion within Barossa, it was a great opportunity to learn about Australian wines and vineyards.

At the same time I create Gaston Bravo Wines, my first vintage in 2017 I produced only 600 bottles. My last vintage in 2024 I produced 8.000 bottles.

What is coming next…???
